Siteimprove Deploys AI Accessibility Agents into Design and Coding Tools

Accessibility is failing to keep pace with the speed of AI-generated content, creating a pipeline of inaccessible digital experiences. Copenhagen-based Siteimprove is now tackling this at the source, launching an MCP server that integrates its accessibility agents directly into environments like Anthropic Claude, Figma, and VS Code.

The new infrastructure bridges the gap between rapid production tools and compliance standards. By connecting the Siteimprove.ai Accessibility Agent to AI-native builders like Lovable and VS Code, the platform allows for autonomous auditing and remediation. When a coding agent generates a digital asset, the Siteimprove agent intervenes to identify and resolve accessibility violations before the code ever reaches production.

This shift moves the focus from reactive fixing to proactive prevention. The integration into Figma, for instance, allows designers to run color blindness simulations and generate audit reports directly within their workspace. CEO Nayaki Nayyar notes that as creation environments evolve, compliance must become a native component of the workflow rather than an afterthought. Beyond accessibility, the company is extending this Model Context Protocol layer to its search and content agents, aiming to standardize performance and discoverability across the entire digital content lifecycle.
