Edgewell Personal Care Reports Progress on Sustainable Care Strategy

Edgewell Personal Care has released its 2025 Sustainability Report, detailing measurable shifts in manufacturing and packaging across its global operations. The Shelton-based consumer goods company, which owns brands including Schick and Banana Boat, reported significant reductions in virgin plastic use and greenhouse gas emissions compared to its 2019 baseline.

The company’s Sustainable Care strategy focuses on three core pillars: brands, supply chain operations, and workforce engagement. Key environmental data for fiscal year 2025 shows a 40% reduction in greenhouse gas emissions and a 30.8% decrease in virgin petroleum-based plastic within disposable razor handles. Additionally, 83.2% of the company's packaging is now designed for recycling or reuse, while 91.1% of paper-based packaging utilizes recycled or certified responsibly sourced fiber.

Beyond environmental metrics, the report highlights improvements in workplace culture and safety. The firm achieved an injury rate of 0.51, surpassing its target of keeping the rate below 1.0. Employee satisfaction reached 86% in the annual Global Experience Survey, contributing to the company’s certification as a Great Place To Work across 13 regions. CEO Rod Little attributed these results to a disciplined business model, noting that the company’s operational focus remains tied to consumer demand and responsible manufacturing practices. The full report is accessible via the company’s investor relations portal.
