Fab Factory, which manages over 120,000 square feet of production space for clients like SZA and Post Malone, acquired a strategic stake in the merchandise firm to collapse the traditional supply chain. Previously, artists relied on fragmented third-party vendors for design and fulfillment, a process often plagued by quality inconsistencies and high costs. Milkyway Brands, founded by Franco Infante, now operates its manufacturing and drop-ship fulfillment directly within the Fab Factory ecosystem. This setup allows creators to design, produce, and distribute apparel with the same creative control they apply to their music and film projects.
The investment also introduces Prjct Blanks, a proprietary line of premium apparel, and Prjct Merch, a Shopify-integrated platform designed to automate artwork uploads and production routing. For Fab Factory chairman Steven Fabos, the move follows a history of vertical ownership established during his time at Steven Charles. By keeping infrastructure in-house, the studio aims to capture margins at every stage—from manufacturing and decoration to final fulfillment. Investors Tai Savet, Ketrina “Taz” Askew, and Chris Cyre join the venture, betting that the ability to consolidate content creation and product commerce will significantly increase the value of the studio’s service offering to management firms and high-profile talent.
