Bloomsbury Money Integrates ClearBank to Expand Cross-Border Payments

Jersey-based Bloomsbury Money has integrated ClearBank’s infrastructure to streamline global fund movements for institutional clients. By bridging stablecoin rails with traditional fiat banking, the neobank aims to eliminate the delays and high costs inherent in legacy financial systems for high-net-worth individuals and corporate entities.

The integration allows Bloomsbury Money users to access a comprehensive suite of payment services, including SEPA, SWIFT, and GBP clearing through Faster Payments, CHAPS, and BACS. These capabilities are now accessible directly via the firm’s in-house platform, which supports G10 currency transactions, real-time FX conversions, and virtual IBANs. Plans are also underway to launch corporate debit cards to assist with business expense management.

Modernizing Institutional Finance

Chris Park, CEO of Bloomsbury Money, emphasized that building the platform in-house ensures the agility required to meet the demands of modern institutional clients. Emma Hagan, UK CEO of ClearBank, noted that the partnership provides a unified, regulated interface for firms seeking to scale their cross-border operations. For offshore trust companies and funds, the expansion addresses specific requirements for managing complex capital flows efficiently. By combining digital asset flexibility with traditional banking compliance, the firm intends to bypass the inefficiencies of decades-old banking infrastructure while maintaining strict adherence to Jersey Financial Services Commission standards.
