The Coopersville-based company introduced the change to align billing with how creators actually conceptualize their shows. CEO Barry Kantz noted that podcasters track their work in minutes and hours rather than digital file sizes, making the new system more intuitive for both newcomers and veteran producers. The update is spearheaded by the new Standard 1.5 plan, which offers 1.5 hours of publishing time for $7 per month.
Existing customers are not required to switch to the new model and can continue with their current arrangements. For those opting into the new system, Blubrry offers a range of tiers spanning from the $7 entry-level option up to a $100 Pro Unlimited package designed for networks and businesses. Each plan includes distribution to major platforms, video support for Apple Podcasts, and access to the company’s suite of AI tools and managed WordPress sites. Users retain the ability to upgrade their plans at any time with automated prorated billing.
