Valens Semiconductor Appoints Dean Martin to Lead Automotive Unit

Dean Martin, a veteran sales executive with over 25 years of experience in the automotive and software sectors, will take over as Senior Vice President of the Automotive Business Unit at Valens Semiconductor on September 1, 2026, replacing the outgoing Adar Segal.

Martin arrives at the Israel-based connectivity chipset provider during a period of expansion for the company’s automotive division. CEO Yoram Salinger highlighted Martin’s history of securing design wins with global automakers as a key asset for the firm’s next phase of commercial growth. The company aims to capitalize on recent momentum to integrate its chipsets more broadly into next-generation vehicles and Advanced Driver Assistance Systems.

Prior to this appointment, Martin held senior commercial roles at Harman Automotive, Red Bend Software, Agilent Technologies, and Hewlett-Packard. His background spans IoT and connected vehicle platforms, areas the company views as critical for its long-term strategy. Martin stated he intends to focus on scaling the adoption of the company's proprietary technology, including its HDBaseT and MIPI A-PHY solutions, across the global automotive market.
