Lynda Petherick steps up as New Look CEO

UK fashion retailer New Look has appointed Lynda Petherick as its new Chief Executive Officer, marking a swift ascent for the executive who joined the company as Chief Information Officer only two years ago.

Petherick succeeds Helen Connolly, who will remain with the business until September 21 to facilitate a transition period. The new CEO brings a technology-focused background to the role, having led the retailer’s digital transformation since 2024 before being promoted to Chief Operating Officer in 2025. Her career includes a tenure as Managing Director at Accenture, where she oversaw its retail and fashion advisory practice for the UK and Ireland.

Chairman Mike Coupe credited the leadership team with driving recent momentum, citing the company’s 2026 financial performance and the growth of the Club New Look loyalty program. Petherick emphasized that her tenure will focus on deepening customer relationships through data-driven decisions and building upon the brand's recent product successes.
