INTCO Medical Earns Industry Mover Status in S&P Global Sustainability

S&P Global has named INTCO Medical an Industry Mover in its 2025 Sustainability Yearbook for China, highlighting the manufacturer's advancements in environmental and social performance. This inclusion follows the release of the company’s latest ESG report, which details specific gains in carbon efficiency and workforce diversity across its global operations.

The Zibo-based manufacturer reported a notable reduction in its environmental footprint throughout 2025. Carbon emissions per glove dropped 11.14% to 18.14 grams of CO2 equivalent, while water usage per unit fell 6.88% to 0.20 liters. These improvements were bolstered by the generation of 12,537.23 MWh of renewable electricity from wind and solar sources, directly integrating clean energy into the production cycle.

Social initiatives remained a core focus, particularly regarding workforce demographics and development. Women accounted for 58% of the company's 12,941 employees, maintaining a significant presence in management roles. Furthermore, INTCO Medical achieved full training coverage for its staff, averaging over 31 hours per person. The company also expanded its philanthropic reach, with cumulative charitable contributions surpassing USD 11.3 million directed toward public health and education.

Governance enhancements focused on refining risk management and internal controls. By deepening sustainability requirements within supplier contracts and improving multilingual reporting transparency, the firm aims to bolster its resilience. According to an ESG representative, the company intends to continue embedding these practices into its research and manufacturing sectors to sustain long-term competitiveness.
