Superior HealthPlan and Centene Foundation Commit $350,000 to Texas Flood Relief

The grant targets regions where recent rainfall triggered widespread evacuations and infrastructure destruction, specifically impacting Blanco, Gillespie, Kendall, Kerr, and Uvalde counties. According to Superior HealthPlan CEO Mitch Wasden, the initiative aims to bridge the gap between displaced families and essential resources during the early stages of recovery.

Financial support will be distributed among the OneStar Foundation, which will channel resources into the Rebuild Texas Fund, alongside the San Antonio Food Bank and Central Texas Food Bank. Additionally, Community Health Development, Inc. and the Frontera Healthcare Network will utilize the funding to restore access to behavioral health services and primary care in rural areas. Local leaders noted that the investment provides a necessary buffer for communities still contending with the long-term effects of previous storm seasons.
