Rackspace Technology Faces Class Action Following Revenue Guidance Cut

Investors who suffered losses in Rackspace Technology, Inc. are being urged to join a newly filed class action lawsuit regarding potential securities fraud. The legal action follows a sharp decline in the company’s stock price triggered by a significant reduction in full-year revenue guidance announced earlier this summer.

The legal dispute centers on allegations that Rackspace and its leadership engaged in unlawful business practices during the defined class period. On July 9, 2026, the company disclosed a major strategic shift toward becoming a full enterprise AI stack operator, a pivot that necessitated a $150 million cut to its annual revenue forecast and a $25 million reduction in Private Cloud revenue expectations. Management attributed these adjustments to upfront growth investments and restructuring costs required to support future AI revenue streams.

The market reaction was immediate and severe. Shares of Rackspace plummeted 33.6%, or $2.21, to close at $4.37 per share on the day of the announcement. Investors seeking to participate as Lead Plaintiff in the litigation have until September 28, 2026, to petition the court. Pomerantz LLP, the firm representing the class, is currently accepting inquiries from shareholders regarding the complaint and the recovery process.
