The company’s quarterly performance reflects ongoing efforts to stabilize operations under the leadership of CEO David Deno, who assumed his role in August 2026. While total revenue dipped, adjusted EBITDA reached $62.1 million, bolstered by $9.1 million in net tariff refunds. The divestiture of the Maple Street Biscuit Company, involving the sale of 35 units and the closure of 16 others, marks a significant shift in the company’s portfolio strategy.
Financial discipline remained a priority through the end of the fiscal year. Cracker Barrel completed a sale-leaseback transaction for 26 owned locations, generating $77 million in proceeds used to pay down debt. Consequently, total debt dropped to $337.2 million from $484.6 million the previous year. Looking ahead to fiscal 2027, the company projects revenue between $3.325 billion and $3.4 billion, targeting comparable restaurant sales growth of 3% to 5% without planning for new store openings.
