The campaign targets the exhaustion of endless meal planning, moving away from idealized family dinners to embrace the utility of leftovers and impromptu snacks. By consolidating its food storage, hydration, and children’s product lines under one platform, the brand seeks to evolve beyond its reputation for mere functional design. For Leapfrog Brands, the parent company, the goal is to shift the brand identity from a manufacturer of leakproof bottles to a partner in family chaos.
Working with the creative agency Ceiling Train, Ello leaned into the experiences of its own team members who recognized the burden of parental routine. The resulting advertisements feature real families navigating unscripted moments, such as eating in a treehouse or turning a standard walk into a makeshift date night. According to Jill Pearson, EVP at Leapfrog Brands, the campaign is designed to give parents permission to break the rules, prioritizing ease and joy over the rigid expectations of modern domesticity.
