Toys"R"Us Expands Retail Footprint Across Navy Exchange Locations

Geoffrey the Giraffe is packing his bags for a global tour. Toys"R"Us announced an expansion of its shop-in-shop concept within Navy Exchange Service Command (NEXCOM) stores, with five new locations set to debut on October 17, 2026, reaching military families from San Diego to Italy.

The expansion brings the total number of Toys"R"Us locations within the NEXCOM network to 13. These new storefronts are designed to replicate the traditional toy-store experience, offering a curated selection of games alongside photo opportunities with the brand’s mascot. The rollout follows a successful initial launch in 2024, which officials report has already accelerated toy sales growth across the entire Navy Exchange enterprise.

Jamie Uitdenhowen, Executive Vice President of Toys"R"Us at WHP Global, noted that the partnership serves as a strategic move to provide specialized retail access to military personnel and their families. Meredith Jackson, Vice President and Senior General Merchandise Manager at NEXCOM, added that these immersive environments are intended to boost in-store engagement, blending modern product offerings with a sense of nostalgia for parents and grandparents.
