The surge in orders highlights a growing market appetite for domestically produced solar components, particularly those that satisfy strict supply-chain security and Foreign Entity of Concern (FEOC) requirements. Takahiko Onozuka, Chairman and CEO of TOYO, noted that these agreements provide clear visibility into the utilization of the company's Houston operations. With roughly 600 employees currently on-site, the facility is now the primary engine for the company’s efforts to capture market share among customers prioritizing domestic-content considerations.
Chief Strategy Officer Rhone Resch described the milestone as a pivot point for the business, moving from the capital-intensive phase of building capacity to a period of contracted revenue generation. By targeting diverse segments including commercial, industrial, and community solar projects, TOYO aims to solidify its position as an integrated manufacturer capable of navigating complex regulatory landscapes. The company intends to leverage this momentum to support a broader, long-term U.S. manufacturing strategy.
