The facility, originally developed in 2015, sits 18 miles south of Richmond and serves as a critical link between the Raleigh-Durham and Northern Virginia corridors. Its proximity to Interstates 95 and 295 allows tenants to reach a population base of over 23 million people within a 200-mile radius. While financial terms of the transaction remain undisclosed, the site is designed to support diverse needs in advanced manufacturing, fintech, and data center operations.
Rockpoint Industrial head Ben Harris noted that the acquisition aligns with the region's increasing appeal to high-growth sectors. The firm’s property services affiliate, Rockhill Management, will oversee daily operations at the campus. Since 2020, Rockpoint has aggressively scaled its industrial footprint, acquiring more than 18 million square feet of space across key logistics hubs in the Carolinas and Virginia, underscoring a broader institutional push to secure well-located, flexible industrial infrastructure.
