Eiry W. Roberts Returns as Neurocrine Biosciences CMO

Dr. Roberts served as the company’s CMO from 2018 to 2025 and remained involved as a strategic advisor. During her initial tenure, she oversaw the expansion of the INGREZZA portfolio and spearheaded the clinical development of CRENESSITY, a treatment for congenital adrenal hyperplasia. Her return comes as the biopharmaceutical firm navigates multiple late-stage clinical programs. Before her first stint at Neurocrine, she spent 26 years at Eli Lilly and Company in various senior research and development roles.

CEO Kyle W. Gano cited the need for institutional continuity as the company prepares for upcoming clinical milestones. Dr. Roberts, who currently holds a board seat at Bausch Health Companies, stated she plans to build upon the momentum of the existing development teams. Dr. Keswani’s departure was described as a mutual agreement, with the company offering no further details on his transition.
