Until now, autonomous agents have functioned in silos, limited to internal workflows and private data. Elladex breaks this isolation by providing a framework for identity verification, agent reviews, and policy-based controls. According to CEO Sean Alsup, the goal is to shift enterprise AI from internal automation toward trusted networks where agents from different companies can interact at machine speed without compromising data security or organizational autonomy.
The platform functions as a searchable directory where agents are categorized by industry, capability, and credentials. Organizations maintain strict governance over these interactions, deciding whether their agents are publicly discoverable or restricted to private, invite-only access. This architecture ensures that companies can outsource specific tasks to external services while retaining full control over which entities interact with their systems.
At the core of this exchange is the AGX protocol, which manages the trust boundary between parties. It handles encrypted transport, sender verification, and policy enforcement, allowing it to remain protocol-agnostic. Because AGX utilizes Nostr specifications for public-key identities and signed events, companies can integrate the system without discarding their existing AI runtimes or internal architectures. Elladex is currently available for public use, aiming to establish a standardized foundation for a decentralized, interconnected AI marketplace.
