CPSC Issues Sweeping Recalls Across Household Goods and Children’s Toys

More than 4.9 million consumer products are under fresh scrutiny as the Consumer Product Safety Commission announces a wave of recalls and safety warnings. The alerts span from faulty electric grills and cargo bikes to children’s toys that pose severe risks of ingestion, entrapment, or fire for unsuspecting households.

The largest single action involves 4,477,655 Expert Grill brushes sold at Walmart, which the agency flagged due to a significant ingestion hazard. Beyond kitchenware, several electrical items are being pulled from shelves. Dollar Tree’s electric balloon pumps face recall after reports of flames and explosions, while Kobayashi and Gobi Heat are recalling a combined 82,500 rechargeable hand warmers citing fire and burn risks. Designs Direct has also recalled 4,200 floor lamps following 11 reports of incidents, including shock and burn injuries.

Safety concerns for children and vulnerable users remain a priority. LandTale and Agrish are recalling thousands of adult portable bed rails due to fatal entrapment and asphyxiation hazards, with the Agrish recall expanding to cover 35,083 units after a consumer fall. Additionally, toys containing water beads or loose magnets—specifically from LLK Trading, ABC Trading, and GBYMIUY—have been flagged for violating federal safety standards. The CPSC has further issued urgent warnings against using Mbabyjon crib bumpers and Bonnlo bunk beds, the latter linked to nine reports of structural slat failures.
