The financing structure includes $240 million provided by the Japan Bank for International Cooperation, with an additional $160 million syndicated through MUFG Bank, Mizuho Bank, and seven other institutional lenders. CFO Roy Chandran noted that the agreement highlights the competitive advantage provided by the company’s ownership structure, which involves Marubeni Corporation and Mizuho Leasing Co., Ltd.
This capital injection supports Aircastle’s ongoing strategy to grow its fleet of commercial jet aircraft. As of May 2026, the company managed a portfolio of 279 aircraft leased to 72 customers across 43 countries, positioning itself to capitalize on sustained demand for narrow and wide-body equipment in the global aviation market.
