The HH516 architecture utilizes a modular design that enables operators to reuse management capabilities across different device generations. By meeting the rigorous standards set by the prpl Foundation for prplOS and High-Level APIs, the unit reduces the technical overhead typically associated with custom software integration. Jesse Wu, General Manager of TCL’s AIoT Business Unit, noted that the certification provides a stable foundation for operators to pivot from lengthy integration cycles toward rapid service innovation for home and business users.
Beyond its software capabilities, the hardware reaches 5G speeds of 7.01 Gbps and utilizes Wi-Fi 7 to deliver 7.2 Gbps throughput. The device supports up to 512 simultaneous connections and features high-gain antennas peaking at 13 dBi. To manage this bandwidth, the system employs AI-driven traffic recognition to prioritize latency-sensitive applications alongside adaptive power management that modifies energy consumption based on real-time network usage. TCL plans to demonstrate these features at the upcoming prpl Summit and Network X 2026.
