Founded in 1973, White Horse RV Center spent over five decades building a reputation as a regional leader, notably maintaining a 30-year partnership with manufacturer Jayco. Ed Hutchinson, Jr., who took over the business from his parents in 1993, oversaw the dealership's growth from a modest plot into a sprawling operation. Under the new ownership, the facilities will be rebranded as Meyer's RV while maintaining their current staff and locations.
For Meyer's RV Superstores, the acquisition continues a rapid expansion strategy that has seen the company grow from a 1967 automotive shop into a network of 19 dealerships across the Northeast. Mark Meyer, president of the group, noted that the deal was completed with the assistance of Jesse Stopnitzky of Performance Brokerage Services. Stopnitzky, who acted as the exclusive sell-side advisor, lauded the transition as a way to preserve the legacy of a multi-generational business within a rapidly evolving industry.
