The report, titled An Independent Review of Evidence Supporting DarioHealth's Clinical and Cost-Savings Impact, examined data provided by the company alongside published research spanning cardiometabolic, musculoskeletal, and behavioral health. For a representative population of 20,000 members, researchers projected annual savings between $3.8 million and $10.8 million.
Specific findings highlight a $5,077 annual reduction in costs per user for those with type 2 diabetes, alongside a 23.5% decrease in inpatient discharges compared to non-users. CEO Erez Raphael noted that these results provide a concrete financial argument for self-funded employers and health plans seeking immediate cost relief.
However, the analysis carries significant caveats. Aon’s conclusions rely exclusively on materials provided by DarioHealth and do not constitute an independent audit or verification of raw data. The firm emphasized that these figures are not a guarantee of future performance, as individual outcomes remain heavily dependent on specific population health burdens and utilization patterns.
