C. Elliott Haverlack Targets Corporate Bureaucracy in New Book

Executive strategist C. Elliott Haverlack released his fourth book, Combustion: Simplification That Ignites Success for Leaders in Business, on October 6, 2026. Drawing from four decades of experience ranging from factory floors to Fortune 500 boardrooms, the author offers a tactical manual designed to dismantle organizational friction and improve operational execution.

The book serves as a sequel to Haverlack’s previous work, Firestarter, shifting focus from leadership inspiration to the structural discipline required to maintain growth. Haverlack argues that as companies mature, they inevitably accumulate redundant processes and policies that stifle performance. His proposed solution centers on "unbundling," a methodology intended to strip away non-essential tasks so that teams can focus on core objectives.

Each chapter includes diagnostic "Combustion Checks" to help managers audit their communication, team dynamics, and crisis readiness. Peter Pantuso, former CEO of the American Bus Association, described the work as a necessary guide for modern management, particularly praising the unbundling framework. To mark the release, Golden Acorn Press is hosting a virtual launch event today at 7 p.m. EST, where the author will discuss the operational insights detailed in the text. The book is currently available in Kindle and hardback formats.
