Bambusa Therapeutics Taps Jonathan Lieber as New CFO

Lieber arrives at Bambusa following a tenure as CFO at Rallybio Corporation, a position he held since early 2023. His career history includes similar leadership roles at Applied Genetic Technologies Corporation, Histogenics Corporation, and Repligen Corporation. Beyond his executive background, he maintains board seats at Decoy Therapeutics, Mindwalk Holdings, and Zola Therapeutics, bringing a broad governance perspective to the startup’s leadership team.

Founder and CEO Shanshan Xu pointed to the company’s current expansion phase as the primary driver for the hire. Bambusa is currently advancing a series of clinical and preclinical programs, including BBT001 for atopic dermatitis and BBT002 for Type 2 inflammatory disorders. Lieber will oversee the firm’s financial strategy as it transitions toward its next set of clinical milestones.
