Athenian Group’s Tanyan Farley to Address 2026 ICMA Conference

The session, titled "From the Olympics to Your City," focuses on the operational reality that major infrastructure initiatives rarely respect municipal boundaries or single-agency oversight. Farley will demonstrate how local governments can adapt the coordination methodologies developed for the LA County 2028 Games to their own community projects. These strategies center on integrating task management, budget oversight, and risk analysis to ensure accountability across complex, cross-jurisdictional networks.

By highlighting the LA County 2028 Games Coordination Platform, Farley aims to provide city managers with a tactical framework for data center development, utility expansion, and regional event planning. The 112th annual ICMA conference, scheduled for October 17–21, expects to host over 5,000 government professionals. Farley, who leads program delivery at the Houston-based Athenian Group, will emphasize identifying gaps in traditional project management to help leaders bridge the divide between initial planning and final execution.
