Edge Delta has launched its "prod immune system," an AI-driven site reliability engineering platform that monitors production environments by analyzing logs, metrics, and traces as they stream. Unlike traditional agents that query dashboards after an alert triggers, this system functions continuously. It detects anomalies early, investigates them using real-time context, and suggests fixes through pre-configured approval workflows.
To standardize performance evaluation, the company introduced the AI SRE Arena. This open-source benchmark injects 21 distinct faults into a Kubernetes-based application to measure how effectively AI models diagnose issues. In initial tests, Edge Delta’s platform successfully caught 18 incidents, significantly outperforming a competing product that detected 12. The benchmark results, including scoring rubrics and answer keys, are now available for teams to run independently.
CEO Ozan Unlu emphasized that the shift allows agents to handle investigation tasks that previously required manual intervention. The platform incorporates new features such as "Loops," which maintain system health checks between incidents, and "Guardrails" to define the scope of autonomous actions. The service is currently available with a 14-day trial, while the technical documentation and comparison methodology remain open to the public.
