Jonathan Janow Joins Greenberg Traurig to Bolster Litigation Practice

Greenberg Traurig has recruited Jonathan D. Janow as a shareholder in its Washington, D.C. office, signaling a strategic expansion of the firm’s life sciences and antitrust litigation capabilities. Janow joins from Steptoe, bringing decades of experience representing pharmaceutical manufacturers and distributors in high-stakes commercial disputes nationwide.

Janow’s arrival follows a broader hiring push in the firm’s D.C. office, which has recently added professionals across sectors ranging from national security to regulatory compliance. His practice focuses on defending pharmaceutical interests in antitrust class actions, product liability cases, and constitutional challenges related to drug pricing regulations. Beyond active litigation, he advises clients on mitigating risks involving patent protection and trade secrets for AI-driven innovations.

Ernest LaMont Greer, co-president of Greenberg Traurig, noted that the firm is prioritizing high-level talent to address the intensifying regulatory pressures facing their clients. Tonya M. Esposito, co-chair of the firm’s Antitrust & Competition Practice, highlighted Janow’s specific expertise in navigating the intersection of complex commercial issues and life sciences regulation. A graduate of The George Washington University Law School, Janow now integrates his practice into the firm’s global network of 3,200 lawyers across 51 locations.
