BODYBAR Pilates Expands Florida Footprint to Royal Palm Beach

A former travel and real estate professional is bringing a high-energy fitness concept to Southern Palm Crossing this July. Barbara Benz, who discovered Reformer Pilates as part of her own recovery journey, will open the 1,920-square-foot BODYBAR Pilates studio at 11021 Southern Boulevard, marking the brand's latest Florida expansion.

The new studio, scheduled to debut July 13, features 12 Reformers and aims to foster a community-focused environment. Before the grand opening, the studio is rolling out founding memberships that include a 15% lifetime discount, priority booking, and guest passes. Benz, who relocated across the state with her husband Justin to launch the franchise, transitioned from client to instructor before deciding to open her own location. Her personal experience with the workout—which she describes as a sanctuary for growth—serves as the foundation for the local business.

To build local engagement, the team is hosting a series of events throughout June, including poolside mat classes at Cortland Royal Palm Beach and a boutique shopping event at The Pink Bungalow. These initiatives align with the broader growth strategy of the franchise, which currently operates 81 studios nationwide with 60 more in development. Following this launch, the owners are already eyeing potential expansion sites in West Palm Beach, Jupiter, and Palm Beach Gardens.
