A Tallahassee-based inventor has developed the Pressure Keeper, a patent-pending system designed to replace manual tire pressure checks on tractor-trailers. By providing automatic alerts for pressure drops, the device aims to mitigate fuel waste, reduce engine strain, and simplify pre-trip inspections for long-haul drivers and fleet operators.
The system eliminates the traditional reliance on handheld gauges, which often prove time-consuming and labor-intensive for commercial drivers. By ensuring tires remain at optimal inflation levels, the design also seeks to extend tire lifespan and improve overall highway safety. Its interface is engineered for ease of use, targeting both individual owner-operators and large-scale trucking companies looking to streamline their maintenance protocols.InventHelp, the organization facilitating the project’s commercialization, is currently marketing the device to manufacturers. The invention is available for licensing through their Pittsburgh office, where interested parties can inquire about the prototype under reference number TLS-1322.
