With the FIFA World Cup 26 set to arrive in the New York/New Jersey area this week, Resorts World New York City has stepped up as a primary sponsor for the Queens Group Stage HQ, providing a free, public fan destination at the Billie Jean King National Tennis Center.

The fan zone, which opened its doors on June 11, offers a centralized hub for locals to catch matches on large screens through June 27. The sponsorship extends beyond venue support; Resorts World is also co-sponsoring an opening concert headlined by NAS and has distributed 100 VIP tickets to community groups, including the Jamaica YMCA and the Boys & Girls Club of Metro Queens.

For the casino-hotel, the partnership serves as a localized anchor for the tournament's broader footprint. As the most linguistically diverse place on earth, Queens is positioning itself as a central player during the group stage, which features eight matches at nearby MetLife Stadium. Michelle Stoddart, Senior Vice President of Community Development at Resorts World, emphasized that the initiative aims to highlight the borough's neighborhood spirit to the global influx of visitors. This effort complements a wider slate of borough-wide watch parties announced by Queens Borough President Donovan Richards, spanning from Flushing to the Rockaways to ensure the tournament remains accessible to all residents.
