Bigge Crane and Rigging Claims Top Spot in 2026 ACT 100 Fleet Ranking

Bigge Crane and Rigging Claims Top Spot in 2026 ACT 100 Fleet Ranking

With over a century of operations behind it, Bigge Crane and Rigging Co. has secured the number one position for fleet size in the 2026 ACT 100 index. The ranking, which evaluates North America’s largest crane-owning firms, also places the company second in the overall industry index for the seventh consecutive year.

The company’s growth strategy centers on what it defines as the Perfect Fleet—a collection of equipment selected based on safety records, maintenance costs, and residual value. CEO Weston Settlemier attributes this expansion to a disciplined capital approach rather than a raw pursuit of scale, ensuring that every asset in the portfolio delivers a measurable return.

By the end of 2026, the company expects to manage more than 2,000 rental assets spanning 20 nationwide locations. The fleet includes significant specialized inventory, such as over 100 Liebherr LR 1300 crawler cranes with an average age of under 3.5 years, alongside the world’s largest collection of Liebherr LTR 1220 telescopic crawler cranes. These machines currently support major infrastructure, energy, and data center projects across North America.
