Cole Palmer turns ‘Cold’ nickname into premium ice brand with Gopuff

Chelsea forward Cole Palmer is stepping off the pitch and into the retail space, signing a multi-year deal with instant delivery firm Gopuff. The partnership debuts with COLE’D, a line of electrolyte-infused ice products that leans into the viral branding surrounding the footballer's signature goal celebration.

Palmer claims a hands-on role in the venture, overseeing product development and packaging design to ensure the brand resonates with the supporters who coined his nickname. The collaboration marks a strategic move for Gopuff, which continues to position itself as a hub for athlete-led product launches. Co-founder Yakir Gola frames the move as an attempt to disrupt the everyday grocery market by treating ice as a functional innovation rather than a commodity.

While the ice line serves as the initial project, the long-term agreement promises a series of custom customer experiences and content collaborations. The deal highlights an increasing trend of top-tier athletes moving beyond traditional endorsement contracts toward equity-based roles in consumer goods, turning personal branding into physical products available for on-demand delivery.
