CTL Launches Free Asset Management Platform for K-12 Districts

Beaverton-based CTL is moving beyond hardware, offering its new Rocket Asset Management software free to all K-12 school districts. The platform aims to consolidate fragmented inventory tracking and help desk ticketing into a single dashboard, regardless of whether a school currently uses CTL devices or other manufacturers.

Managing a modern K-12 device stack—which often includes a mix of Chromebooks, Windows laptops, and Macs—has become a significant operational hurdle for IT departments. By integrating Rocket, a tool developed by K-12 Tech, CTL intends to replace manual spreadsheets and costly third-party inventory software with a centralized system designed for education-specific workflows.

Jeremy Burnett, CTL’s VP of Technology, noted that the platform enables seamless integration between hardware logistics and daily inventory management. The software provides granular features such as automated help desk routing, repair tracking, and parent invoicing for damage fees. According to Dan Rodgers, CEO of CTL, the initiative is part of a broader "one-vendor" strategy, providing districts with a unified ecosystem for procurement, lifecycle services, and administrative software. The platform is available immediately at no cost, aiming to help schools maximize hardware longevity and reduce administrative friction.
