The guide focuses on the six pillars of lifestyle medicine: nutrition, physical activity, sleep, stress management, social connection, and the avoidance of risky substances.
Jessica Jolly, Senior Director of Practice Advancement at ACLM, noted that employers are uniquely positioned to influence health outcomes by shaping benefits and workplace environments. The toolkit includes practical implementation frameworks, assessment tools, and case studies designed to support long-term sustainability. By aligning these efforts with established frameworks like Total Worker Health, organizations can address the physical, mental, and social determinants of employee well-being. According to ACOEM Board President Dr. Jill Rosenthal, the collaboration seeks to transform the workplace into a platform for disease prevention rather than reactive treatment.
