OpsGuru Launches AWS Lakehouse Accelerator to Slash Data Build Times

Canadian businesses are struggling to bridge the gap between AI ambition and operational reality, with fewer than one in six achieving meaningful transformation. Toronto-based OpsGuru is now targeting this bottleneck with its Energy Lakehouse Accelerator, a platform designed to cut data infrastructure deployment from a year down to weeks.

The launch follows OpsGuru’s recent receipt of the AWS Data & Analytics Competency, a technical validation reserved for partners managing complex, regulated environments. While Canadian AI adoption has climbed 33 percent over the past year, foundational data silos in sectors like mining, energy, and finance continue to impede progress. Companies often spend months manually unifying fragmented information from SCADA, IoT, and ERP systems, rendering the data obsolete by the time it is ready for analysis.

Ryan Smyth, CEO of OpsGuru, notes that leadership teams frequently possess the right vision but lack the infrastructure to support it. The accelerator uses the Iceberg open-source table format on Amazon S3 to provide security, governance, and compliance controls from the start. By delivering this as a managed engagement, the firm removes the need for clients to assemble specialized cloud engineering teams, allowing production-ready workloads to launch immediately upon delivery. The solution is currently available for procurement via the AWS Marketplace.
