The Centauri 2 and Centauri 2 Combo models are engineered to address the common pain points of multicolor printing, such as material waste and complex setup. The CANVAS system manages the workflow through four independent motors, which handle color switching, RFID filament recognition, and tangle prevention. This automation is intended to allow creators to produce complex, vibrant models with minimal manual intervention.
Under the hood, the series maintains industrial-grade performance metrics, boasting print speeds of up to 500 mm/s and acceleration reaching 20,000 mm/s². To ensure reliability at these rates, the machines utilize a rigid die-cast aluminum frame and a suite of 22 onboard sensors that monitor everything from nozzle clogs to power-loss recovery. The hardware supports high-temperature printing up to 350°C, making the platform versatile enough for a broad range of materials.
Pricing for the standard Centauri 2 starts at $299, while the Combo version is priced at $379. These machines integrate directly into the existing ELEGOO digital ecosystem, including the ElegooSlicer software and the Matrix remote management app. With this release, the company—which reported over $300 million in revenue in 2025—is signaling a shift toward more accessible, high-performance consumer hardware.
