At the core of the new lineup is the CANVAS system, which manages four-color printing through independent motors and automated filament handling. By incorporating RFID filament recognition and automatic refill, the printer minimizes material waste and manual intervention. The hardware is built on a rigid die-cast aluminum frame, allowing the unit to reach print speeds of 500 mm/s and acceleration rates of 20,000 mm/s². Precision is maintained through linear guides and a suite of calibration tools, including active vibration compensation and auto Z-offset adjustments.
The series debuts in two configurations: the base Centauri 2 and the Centauri 2 Combo. With an entry price of 299 USD for the standard model and 379 USD for the combo, the company is positioning the hardware as an accessible upgrade for hobbyists. Reliability is supported by 22 onboard sensors that monitor everything from nozzle clogs to power-loss recovery. The machines integrate with the broader ELEGOO ecosystem, including the ElegooSlicer software and the Matrix mobile app for remote management. Orders are currently live on the company’s official storefronts, covering major markets across North America, Europe, and the Asia-Pacific region.
