Kehua and Partners Unveil Grid-Forming White Paper at Intersolar Europe

As AI-driven data centers and renewable integration strain global power grids, Kehua Digital Energy, Energy-Storage.news, and TÜV Rheinland have released a new white paper at Intersolar Europe 2026. The document outlines how grid-forming energy storage acts as a critical stabilizer for modern transmission and distribution networks.

European power systems face mounting pressure from declining inertia and geographical imbalances between generation and load centers. The white paper, "Enhancing System Stability through Grid-Forming Energy Storage Technologies," argues that grid-forming systems provide essential voltage and frequency support that conventional grid-following technology cannot match. Kehua’s solution aims to address these vulnerabilities across diverse scenarios, including standalone storage, microgrids, and the high-performance requirements of AI data centers.

TÜV Rheinland performed an independent technical evaluation of Kehua’s architecture, validating the control strategies necessary for mainstream adoption. Mario Comboni, Global Head of Technology Center of Power Electronics Products Services at TÜV Rheinland, emphasized that independent validation is vital as grid-forming technology moves toward global standardization. Andy Colthorpe, editor of Energy-Storage.news, noted that while regions like Australia, the US, and the UK are already advancing, the industry still lacks accessible resources to demystify complex system modeling.

Kehua currently reports over 10 GW of grid-forming energy storage deployed by the first half of 2026. With more than 400 microgrid systems operational across Asia, Europe, and the Americas, the company continues to scale its end-to-end integration capabilities. The full white paper is currently available for download through the official websites of Kehua Digital Energy and Energy-Storage.news.
