Jeju Air Awards First South Korean Engine Maintenance Contract to GATES

The contract solidifies a new expansion for the engine MRO subsidiary of GA Telesis, which gained approval earlier this year to service CFM56-5B, CFM56-7B, and CF6-80C2 platforms in the region. For the low-cost carrier, the partnership aims to leverage global technical capabilities to bolster fleet reliability.

"We are honored that Jeju Air has selected GATES," said Avinash Singh, the company's VP of Sales for the APAC and MEA regions. J.G. Lee, who leads the fleet management team at Jeju Air, noted that the airline intends to utilize the provider's expertise to enhance service quality across its operations. This move strengthens the footprint of the Finland-based engine specialist within the competitive Asian aviation market.
