Atlanta Braves Partner with Ember Sports to Democratize Youth Training

The Atlanta Braves are expanding their grassroots development efforts by partnering with mobile technology firm Ember Sports. The initiative aims to provide youth baseball and softball players across the Southeast with affordable, phone-based performance tools that eliminate the need for expensive hardware or specialized training facilities.

The collaboration integrates Ember’s mobile platform directly into the Braves Country Baseball and Softball (BCBS) network. By utilizing built-in smartphone cameras, the app allows players and coaches to analyze pitching mechanics and hitting swings without requiring wearable sensors or external equipment. This technology provides instant feedback, democratizing access to high-quality development resources for families who previously lacked the budget for elite programs.

Ember Sports CEO Fred Williams noted that the partnership fulfills the company’s mission to move beyond high-cost, facility-dependent training. The platform, which costs $12.99 per month, will be showcased at various BCBS tournaments and community events across Georgia and neighboring states. Greg McMichael, the Braves' Senior Director of Alumni Relations & Growing the Game, emphasized that the move ensures every young athlete in their regional footprint has the opportunity to refine their skills regardless of socioeconomic barriers.
