The installation features 85 AutoStore R5 robots servicing over 96,000 storage bins and 24 carousel ports. Operations will be managed through THG Fulfil’s proprietary warehouse control system, a custom-built software layer developed to optimize product flow. The project is currently on a three-month development track, with the system slated to process its first orders in September.
THG Ingenuity COO Tom Killeen highlighted that the partnership utilizes a Robotics-as-a-Service model, allowing Footasylum to bypass the heavy capital expenditure typically associated with enterprise-grade automation. Footasylum CEO Hannah Mercer described the move as a foundational investment for the company, noting that the tailored infrastructure is designed to handle increasing product complexity as the brand expands its market reach.
