Grand Canyon Education Posts Strong Q2 Growth Driven by Enrollment Gains

Grand Canyon Education reported a 6.7% increase in service revenue to $264 million for the second quarter of 2026, bolstered by a 7.6% rise in university partner enrollments. The Phoenix-based firm achieved an operating income of $58.2 million, marking a 12.3% improvement over the same period last year.

The company’s expansion reflects a broader trend of increased student participation across its 20 university partners, with total enrollments reaching 126,231 by June 30. Growth was particularly notable at off-campus classroom and laboratory sites, where student numbers surged by 16.8%. This segment, which includes accelerated nursing programs, continues to provide higher revenue margins compared to traditional campus agreements.

Financial performance also benefited from disciplined cost management, with operating margins climbing to 22.0% from 20.9% in the prior-year period. Despite slight downward pressure on revenue per student due to contract adjustments and shifts in student mix, net income rose to $45.9 million. Looking ahead, management projects full-year revenue between $1.165 billion and $1.172 billion, anticipating continued demand for its support infrastructure and technological services throughout the remainder of 2026.
