Anderson addressed the news during a Friday appearance on The Sarah Fraser Show, admitting his initial reaction was one of profound disbelief. Urker was found dead at his Louisiana home on October 1, his birthday, with police discovering drug paraphernalia and a firearm at the scene. Blanchard has characterized the loss as a suspected overdose.
Though Anderson and Urker never met in person, their relationship was marked by strained phone calls and text messages. Anderson noted that their interactions were never positive, yet he felt compelled to reach out to Blanchard’s father, Rod, to relay his condolences. He expressed a desire to provide a source of comfort for Blanchard, much like he did during their own marriage, which ended in 2024.
For her part, Blanchard has described the loss of Urker as an unimaginable tragedy, labeling him her "red string" soulmate. She also highlighted the immense toll taken by relentless online harassment, specifically citing TikTok and Reddit as platforms where Urker faced constant scrutiny. While Anderson remains uncertain if Blanchard will accept his offer of support, he maintains that his priority remains the well-being of his former wife and her daughter, Aurora.
