The plaintiff, who shared the inmate's name, filed a lawsuit alleging invasion of privacy, emotional distress, and libel. His legal team argued that the post destroyed his privacy and caused lasting personal trauma, characterizing the reality star's actions as a reckless abuse of her massive platform.

Kardashian’s legal team successfully moved to have the case dismissed, with the court ruling in her favor and ordering the plaintiff to cover her substantial legal expenses. Despite the court's decision, Kardashian opted to drop the collection efforts.
