The merger combines Mid-Atlantic’s client-focused advisory work with the institutional infrastructure of its new parent company. Simplicity CEO Bruce Donaldson noted that the integration aims to leverage the firm’s unified platform to scale advisory services throughout the region. For Maguire and Sayre, the move addresses the growing complexity of the financial landscape by providing access to specialized tools and administrative support.
Maguire highlighted that the firm’s securities platform served as a primary driver for the deal, offering resources that were previously unavailable to the boutique practice. Meanwhile, Sayre emphasized that offloading operational responsibilities will allow his team to prioritize client engagement and long-term financial planning. Mid-Atlantic, which has operated since 2012, will continue its focus on wealth accumulation and asset protection under the new corporate identity.
