Carson Daly Confirms Hosting Role Amid The Voice Spin-Off News

When NBC announced Keke Palmer would host the new spin-off The Voice: Celebrity, viewers mistakenly assumed Carson Daly was exiting the flagship series. The longtime host took to social media to dispel the rumors, confirming his return for the upcoming season while detailing his new production role in the companion show.

Daly, a staple of the franchise since its 2011 debut, clarified that while he remains the face of the original competition, he opted out of hosting the celebrity edition. He described Palmer as a triple-threat talent perfectly suited for the new format, which shifts to three coaches—Queen Latifah, Riley Green, and Joe Jonas—instead of the traditional four. The spin-off is slated for a spring 2027 premiere, featuring a roster of stars from film, sports, and social media.

Meanwhile, the original series prepares for its 30th season, which premieres September 21. Daly will resume his hosting duties alongside returning coaches Kelly Clarkson and Adam Levine, as well as newcomers Latifah and Green. Having earned four Emmy Awards as a producer for the show, Daly remains deeply involved in maintaining the production’s longevity. The winner of the upcoming season stands to secure a $100,000 prize, a Universal Music Group record deal, and a performance slot at the 2027 Governors Ball Music Festival.
