Founded by Melonie Butler, the 501(c)(3) organization provided mentorship, leadership development, and wellness retreats aimed at fostering economic independence and personal growth. The decision to dissolve follows an unexpected health event Butler experienced in late 2025, which prompted a broader evaluation of the nonprofit’s long-term sustainability. Butler emphasized that the choice was a collective one, focused on concluding the organization’s chapter with integrity rather than attempting to maintain operations indefinitely.
Over its eleven-year tenure, the group delivered 148 initiatives, ranging from business workshops to healing-centered mentorship for survivors of gun violence. Its final program, L.E.T. H.E.R., addressed the needs of women and girls co-surviving trauma. Throughout its history, the organization collaborated with 35 community partners and 154 corporate sponsors to support its mission. While the nonprofit will cease operations, Butler noted that the impact on participants—many of whom launched businesses or pursued advanced education—remains the core of the organization's legacy.
