Kootenay Silver Files Technical Report for La Cigarra Project

Kootenay Silver has officially filed its NI 43-101 technical report for the La Cigarra silver project in Chihuahua, Mexico, confirming the findings of a positive preliminary economic assessment. The document marks a key progression for the company as it seeks to advance the site toward potential development.

Located 26 kilometres from the city of Hidalgo del Parral, the project sits within a historic mining region that includes the long-producing Santa Bárbara and San Francisco del Oro operations. The report, which carries an effective date of January 15, 2026, details the technical and economic viability of the site, mirroring the results initially disclosed by the company in June.

President and CEO James McDonald noted that the filing validates the work of the firm’s consultants and highlights the project's rapid capital payback potential. With nine kilometres of mineralized trend identified, management intends to focus on resource expansion and engineering optimization. The report was prepared by Sacré-Davey Engineering with contributions from several specialized firms, including Knight Piésold Consulting and SGS Geological Services.
