The route, which connects the Castelguelfo terminal in northern Italy with the Frövi terminal in Örebro County, maintains a transit time of approximately 2.5 to 3 days. By deploying a more versatile wagon fleet, the company intends to offer greater flexibility for shippers moving goods between Southern Europe and the Nordic region.
Marjut Linnajärvi, VP of International Rail Operations and Sales, noted that the increased schedule reduces waiting times and improves synchronization with onward road and maritime transport. The service operates as a single-point-of-contact solution, where the company handles documentation, terminal operations, and first- and last-mile delivery to streamline cross-border freight flows.
