The platform, scheduled to launch in 2026, grants suppliers direct access to performance metrics across the coop.co.uk website and its delivery partner network. By tracking search positioning, store-level availability, and product performance, suppliers can align their strategies with the retailer’s internal category teams. This transparency is intended to move beyond basic site monitoring, allowing brands to apply formal category management principles to the rapidly evolving convenience market.
Francis Nicholas, VP of Product Strategy at eStoreBrands, noted that the platform addresses a critical missing piece for brands that previously relied on fragmented data. For Co-op, which claims 90% reach across the UK via its quick commerce channels, the move is a strategic effort to unlock growth. According to Kate McCrae, Operations and QCommerce Director at Co-op, sharing this deeper data will be instrumental in helping suppliers make actionable recommendations that benefit both their own brands and the retailer's shoppers.
